Our Story

From humble beginnings, Dave McClenaghan and his wife Veronique began their journey by trading t-shirts in KwaZulu Natal. They later relocated to George, where Dave's innovative thinking, determination, and unwavering attitude propelled Vic Bay to its current success. We've experienced tremendous growth over the years, establishing ourselves as a unique business in South Africa that oversees the entire manufacturing process, from raw cotton to the final garment.

Our factory, situated in George, the 6th oldest town in South Africa and the heart of the Garden Route, houses the production of our garments, all under one roof. This historically rich town is a visual paradise whichever way you turn.

Just 9km away lies the picturesque Victoria Bay, not only a favored local surf spot but also the very place where Dave & Veronique's 3 sons spent their formative years riding the waves. This is the origin of the name Vic Bay, which was given by their sons.

Our history proves that with a goal nothing is impossible!
